Daniel is the Digital Product Owner for Retail Investments within Group Transformation at Lloyds Banking Group. He is responsible for defining and delivering the digital strategy for across wealth management, investments and long term savings.

Prior to his move to the UK eight years ago, Daniel was an Associate Director at Macquarie Bank in Australia where he managed the financial and general business operations of Macquarie Wealth Management.

Daniel’s 15 year career in the financial planning and investment industries has covered all aspects of the customer and business lifecycle and he passionately believes the current surge in digital and fintech innovation has the potential to provide significant benefits to both consumers and firms.

David has worked for LV= in a variety of senior positions across GI and Life. In his most recent roles, David has been responsible for customer service operations for LV=’s Life and Pensions business and the development and integration of the business’ range of advised and non-advised services. This including leading the development of the recently launched automated and on-line regulated retirement advice proposition from LV=.  In his newly formed role as the Life Advice Director, David will focus on the development and broader distribution of automated advice solutions for LV=.

Fernando led the development of South America’s first mobile banking platform, the launch of a new fund supermarket in the Netherlands, and the set-up of a fully licensed direct card business in Germany. Michelle Pearce is Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of UK digital wealth management service, Wealthify. After leaving medical school to pursue a long-standing passion for investing, Michelle quickly gained Chartered status and worked as a Wealth Manager for Channel Island-based asset management business, Brooks MacDonald. However, she soon became frustrated with the layers of unnecessary complexity in traditional wealth management services and the lack of investing opportunities for people with average sums to invest, particularly young people like her. She left the firm to found Wealthify in 2014.

Anders Nicander is the strategic leader and Deputy Head of Investment Solutions in Nordea, the largest and leading bank in the Nordic and Baltic region with more than 10 million customers and an excess of 320 bn EUR in AUM.
As Deputy Head of Investment Solutions, Mr. Nicander is responsible for the savings business with focus on investment products, investor protection and related regulation, financial advisory and digital savings solutions, such as online trading and digital advice. Nordea is undergoing an extensive digital transformation where he is responsible for the digitalisation of Nordea’s investment solutions and advisory business.
Mr. Nicander has prior to his current position held several leadership positions in both wealth management and investment banking.
Mr. Nicander has a MSc in Finance from Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University and executive diplomas from London Business School and Berkley RG. Mr. Nicander is 37 years old and lives in Stockholm with his wife and three children.

Michelle Cracknell was appointed Chief Executive of the Pensions Advisory Service in October 2013. Michelle started her career as a pensions adviser for Advisory & Brokerage Services Ltd specialising in self-administered pensions, where she worked for 20 years becoming a director and qualifying as an Actuary in 1997. In 2007, she joined Skandia as the Strategy Director and continued her interest in investment platforms and pensions when she left to work as a consultant. She is a regular commentator on pension matters in the media. Since taking over, the Pensions Advisory Service has grown from looking after 60,000 customers to now looking after 200,000 customers. Throughout her career, her key desire has been to make pensions more accessible to people.

Matthew started providing investment advice in 1996 when he joined Deloitte and worked with a range of pension schemes, trusts and high net worth individuals. He was responsible for the expansion and day to day management of Deloitte’s financial planning in Scotland and Northern Ireland. He moved to become an Investment Director of Clear Financial Management, also providing advice to pension schemes, trusts and high net worth individuals and joined BROADSTONE, formerly BDO, in 2005. He was Managing Director of Broadstone Pensions & Investments Ltd until November 2014 and assisted with the sale of the business to Thomas Miller Investment in December 2014.

He is a member of the Personal Finance Society and has professional qualifications in investment management, portfolio construction and investment management within pensions. He has a first class honours degree in Geology from London University.

James is Policy Lead: Engagement, EU and Regulation at the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association. He leads the Association’s policy work on ensuring people have the information they need about retirement saving and also has responsibility for the PLSA’s overview of pensions regulation.

James also leads on EU issues, including the UK’s exit from the EU and preparation for the new EU workplace pensions Directive.

Prior to joining what was then the NAPF in 2009, James was Public Policy Manager for ASDA Stores Ltd and Head of Public Affairs at the Institute of Directors.

Earlier in his career he held a series of positions in the Conservative Research Department, serving as Head of Economic Section and then as Deputy Director. He has worked with political leaders in Namibia, Sri Lanka and Belarus.

Previously Rob was with wealth manager Charles Stanley, where he led the launch and fast growth of the new direct –to-client platform Charles Stanley Direct. Rob started his career with Hargreaves Lansdown in the earlier years (1994-1999). He then joined Egg PLC to help set up the UK’s first direct fund supermarket. Rob has also spent time as a management consultant specialising in retail platforms, and with Chartwell Group where he managed the Direct business and helped move the IFA practice to a platform model and sale to Close Brothers.

Ed has over eighteen years’ experience in digital – dating from when people used the phrase “new media” – of which around half has been focussed almost exclusively in financial services, especially wealth and asset management. In 2012, Ed joined Charles Stanley and led the proposition design and delivery of the award-winning Charles Stanley Direct, before in 2015 joining Aberdeen Asset Management to lead digital in retail wealth propositions in the UK and Asia. As of October 2017, Ed leads the Digital Strategy, Innovation and Propositions practices at Schroders. Although a technologist at heart and by training, his most recent focus is on delivering commercially effective digital investment propositions, which naturally has equipped him with a keen understanding of the legal, regulatory and compliance challenges associated with devising and operating such businesses.

With a 25 year pedigree working within the financial industry, Tim has demonstrated significant achievements in leading varied cycles and delivering strategic change.

Greg is a specialist in applied decision science, behavioural finance, and financial wellbeing – improving decisions through behavioural science.

Greg started the banking world’s first behavioural finance team as Head of Behavioural-Quant Finance at Barclays, which he built and led for a decade.

In 2016, he founded Centapse, in 2017 joining forces with Oxford Risk where he is Head of Behavioural Science, jointly combining behavioural consulting with the development of decision support tools to help people (and organisations) across the financial services industry make better decisions.

Greg holds a PhD in Behavioural Decision Theory from Cambridge; is an Associate Fellow at Oxford’s Saïd Business School; a lecturer at Imperial College London; and author of Behavioral Investment Management.

Greg is also the creator of Open Outcry, a ‘reality opera’ premiered in London in 2012, creating live performance from a functioning trading floor.
